In each creation of Ann Cox, sustainability is utmost important. “I often work with recycled glass for my jewelry. The tubes I use, are from the former lightbulb industry where they were used to extract the air out of the bulbs. I also have an agreement with a glass studio here in Belgium. I use their leftovers to create my pieces. This way of working makes my work unique and keeps me alert to stay creative.”
Years ago, I got in contact with the light bulb industry. The tubes they used for their former light bulbes, I am now recycling into my pieces of jewellery. It’s the perfect combination with outspoken colors.
I met a woman who was a big fan of my work. She told me she couldn’t wear my necklaces because she suffured from arthritis in her neck. That’s when I began to design earrings as well.
One of my clients gave me the best compliment I would like to share. She told me: “Whenever I wear you, I just put on something simple and my outfit is stunning.” I love the idea of being the perfect finishing touch.
